We believe that no matter who you are, where you come from, or what your 'status' is, you have value and can make a real difference. Together, we can develop happier, healthier, and more fulfilling communities.

Atrians (ie. members of this cooperative) make it easier for individuals to make a meaningful impact in the causes and communities they care about.

“People are often just waiting to be asked or invited to take part in something – they have the skills, assets and desire, they just aren’t sure what to do.” - Joe Erpenbeck, Asset-Based Community Development Institute

All too often, gardens and cooking classes go incomplete; BBQs and block parties go unattended. Instead, imagine getting a notification reminder from Jay, who lives two doors down, to plant spring flowers in the community garden on Saturday; or an e-invite from Karen, who lives next to the park, for the block party around the corner tomorrow.

Unfortunately, community-centered groups are too resource-constrained to effectively grow the awareness of these projects. Atrians are currently working with Kiwassa Neighbourhood House to understand their systems of community engagement and develop useful technology.
